Clinical Therapist
(she/her/hers)
Presenting Concerns: I offer assessment and psychotherapy services for adults struggling with issues like:
Anxiety (e.g., social anxiety, health anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, generalized anxiety and worry)
Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Approach: I view therapy as a collaborative and relational process rooted in partnership. While I bring specialized training in psychotherapy and assessment, you are the expert in your own lived experience. My goal is to work alongside you to identify meaningful goals that align with your values and support movement toward the life you want to live. I am committed to meeting you where you are with acceptance, compassion, and curiosity, and to creating a space where you feel safe to show up authentically.
My therapeutic framework is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) using an identity and systems-informed lens, which means I take into account how you understand your identity within the systems around you (e.g., family, community, society). Within that framework, we explore together how thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and past experiences influence the ways you cope, relate, and respond to life’s challenges. I also draw from other evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Training/Experience: I am currently a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Clinical Psychological Sciences program at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). Prior to this, I received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from UTSC and a Master of Science degree from the University of Toronto’s Institute of Medical Science. I have completed intensive practicum placements at UTSC, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Ontario Shores, and the Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital.
