FAQ

  • WHERE DO YOU HOLD YOUR SESSIONS?

We offer in-person appointments at our office in downtown Toronto or virtual appointments by televideo or phone for clients located anywhere in Ontario.

  • ARE YOU COVERED BY INSURANCE?

Probably! The majority of work and school insurance plans cover sessions with registered psychologists and psychotherapists. While we’re likely covered by your insurance plan, how much coverage you have can vary considerably depending on your plan. We suggest speaking with your insurer to learn about your coverage details before beginning with us.

  • HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?

Psychotherapy can be expensive, and fees depend on factors like the type of professional you’re seeing, their education and experience, and where the clinician lives and works.

The standard fees for each of our clinicians are listed on each clinician’s page in the Team section.

  • WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We can accept e-transfers (sent to drjames@wgpsychology.com) and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and Amex).

  • DO YOU OFFER FEES ON A SLIDING SCALE (AKA REDUCED FEES)?

Yes, some of our clinicians are able to offer sessions for a reduced fee, depending on your life and financial situation. Please contact us to learn more. We also have Groups that are run at a lower fee per session compared to individual sessions.

  • I’M NOT INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH YOUR CLINIC, BUT I DO WANT THERAPY. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

If we’re not the right fit for you, there are many other therapists out there who might be better-suited to your needs! Please don’t give up the search to find a quality therapist who’s right for you. Check these Resources for other places to search for support. Another great idea is to talk to your family doctor about your interest in therapy and ask for their recommendations.
